Industrial Minerals

Industrial Mineral

Industrial Mineral can be defined as those geological materials which are mined for their commercial value. Unlike fuel minerals and metallic minerals these are not used for fuel or metal extraction purpose. Industrial Minerals are used either in their natural state or as raw materials after the beneficiation process. They can also be used as additives in wide varieties of applications. The evaluation of raw material to determine whether its suitable for use as industrial mineral, requires technical test work, mineral processing trials and end-product evaluation.
